THE VISION
To restore the work divinely sparked by God and carried out
through William Seymour and his co-workers for 3 ½
years at the renowned Azusa Street Revival (1906-1909) of
Los Angeles, California in order to birth anew a nationwide
revival of the Holy Ghost for these times.
THE MISSION
Our mission for Azusa '08 is four-fold: firstly, in the spirit
of Azusa to organize a "multi-cultural," "inter-denominational"
event that would facilitate all believers crossing race, ethnic,
class, and denominational lines in order to join as "one"
in the love of God to celebrate through prayer, music, dance,
worship, and ministry of the Word the presence and power of
the Holy Spirit; secondly, to create a spiritual environment
in which those who desire a closer walk with God might experience
for themselves a personal baptism of the Holy Spirit (cf.
Acts 2:4, 10:45-46, 19:6); thirdly, through seminar sessions
to instruct and broaden the knowledge of attendees concerning
the role and operations of the Holy Spirit; and fourthly,
for those who are already filled with the Holy Spirit to renew
themselves inwardly in its strength, power, and joy.
